Renee Pasquale is a fiber artist. Her home studio is located in the town of Wappingers Falls, in Duchess County, New York. She has been involved in sewing and art since her teenage years,when she purchased her first sewing machine a Singer Fashion Mate, with the earnings of her first paycheck!
After a long and fulfilling career as a medical social worker, Renee decided to pursue her passion for creativity, by combining sewing,quilting,and art skills,--- and yes her therapeutic skills complete the package!
Renee Enjoys creating, teaching, and lecturing on anything textile related.
her "sweet spot" is mixed media/art quilting. In her thirty year career as a social worker, Renee has had the privilege to help people on their journey towards a happier, healthier life -in her art journey, Renee once again helps people move to a happier place by encouraging them on their own creative journey!
Renee has provided lectures to several audiences including the Antiques Guild,Poughkeepsie, N.Y./ Warwick Valley Quilters Guild,Warwick,N.Y./ Embroiderer's Guild of America Skyllkill chapter, Hyde Park,N.Y./ First Duchess Quilters Guild-Dec. 2018-poughkeepsie N.Y.
Renee 's work as been exhibited at various venues throughout the Hudson Valley- including : East Fishkill Library, Grinnell Library, Beekman Library, Arts -Mid-Hudson.org,, Barrett Arts Center/Skyfest-juried exhibit, Cunneen Hackett Arts Center, The Lazerus Gallery-Art of the Garden, Hudson Valley Hospital center, City of Poughkeepsie Courthouse-Common Council Chambers,
Renee's work has been published by F&W Media in several of their Incite/Mixed Media editions,

Renee provides a variety of sewing,quilting, and art quilting classes in her charming, fully appointed studioHer classes vary in content, design, and technique. She teaches children and adults from 8-108!--believing all of us have the power and ability to create! Renee's classes are always private or small groups, since she believes individual attention helps to flourish and build skills.
Renee especially likes projects that build confidence in new or beginner students.
She promotes quality work, but does not believe in stressful teaching techniques.
Renee hosts a "Summer Sewing Camp" for young sewers 8 years and up--to encourage children to find their "inner" creative self!
Renee also provides a variety of commission services, whereby she will create quilted art treasures for yourself or as a treasured gift.
